Jonathan completed his undergraduate training at McMaster University and went on to do his postgraduate training in podiatry at the Michener Institute of Applied Health Sciences, in Toronto. After graduation he completed several advanced training courses in diabetic wound care, diabetic assessment techniques, lower extremity compression therapy for venous insufficiency, and several advanced surgical courses including HyproCure and the KobyGard system. In 1999, Jonathan along with his colleague, Ruth Avelino, established their first clinic in downtown, historic Burlington. A second clinic was opened in 2010 at 350 Main St E, in Milton Ontario.
Ruth completed her undergraduate training at Guelph University and went on to do her postgraduate training in podiatry at the Michener Institute of Applied Health Sciences, in Toronto. After graduation she completed several advanced training courses, including injection techniques for botox, the use of sclerosing agents for varicosities, lower extremity compression therapy for venous insufficiency, as well as several advanced surgical courses including HyproCure and the KobyGard system. In 1999, Ruth along with her colleague, Jonathan Haslehurst, established their first clinic in downtown, historic Burlington. A second clinic was opened in 2010 at 350 Main St E in Milton Ontario.
